José Maria Castelo Branco is a lawyer and managing partner at Franca Pinto, Castelo Branco & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados, SA, RL (FPCB).
Throughout his career, he has worked predominantly in the areas of labour law and social security, providing legal advice to companies and various sectors of activity, namely the ceramics, mining, hotel and port sectors, including collective bargaining. He is the author of the chapter on Portuguese legislation in the book ‘Labour Law – A Practical Global Guide’ – Published by Globe Law and Business, Ltd. 2011 – London, United Kingdom.
He graduated in Law from the Lusíada University of Lisbon in 1994 and, throughout his professional career, has been a partner in other prestigious law firms, contributing to their growth and development. In July 2024, together with his team, he joined Franca Pinto e Associados, giving rise to the current Franca Pinto, Castelo Branco & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados, SA, RL (FPCB).
